MECHATRONIC ENGINEERING

Today, the rapid advancement of technology in the machinery, electronics and software sector and the development of industrial automation and the use of smart machines and robots in the industry have led to the emergence of new engineering by combining different engineering. Mechatronics Engineering, one of them, takes part in the design, production, control and development stages of smart machines and robots that undertake critical tasks in many sectors such as industry, health, transportation, defense, etc. Briefly, Mechatronics Engineering; It can be defined as a new branch of engineering that combines mechanical, electronic and computer/software engineering on a machine or product.

A mechatronic product consists of sensors (to detect changes in the environment), central control unit (to make decisions and control the system according to the information obtained), motor and drive systems (to create mechanical power), and connectors (to transfer the power). In accordance with this statement, mechatronic products observe the defined environment, perceive the changes in the environment and change the environment by interpreting the information they perceive. Therefore, today, when mechatronic products are mentioned, instead of simple machines that perform certain tasks, skilled systems that can adapt to various conditions, decide and implement themselves come to mind.

Our Mission; Able to put the theoretical knowledge gained into practice, to produce solutions to the problems encountered in practice, to follow the developments in our country and the world in their own field, to have high self-confidence, to have the courage to compete, to participate in interdisciplinary studies and to provide the expected contribution as a team leader and team worker in these studies, is to train engineers who always see the interests of the country above their own and respect ethical values.

Therefore, the demand for mechatronics engineers is increasing day by day.
