FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY
UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION

Technology Faculties were established to train engineers with high application skills needed by the industry. In this respect, in terms of the theoretical courses required for engineering education, at least the courses given in other engineering faculties are given. The courses in the curriculum are supported by practice. On the other hand, in addition to 2 summer internships, students will spend the 8th semester of their 8-semester engineering education as an intern engineer with a curriculum planned under the name of "Vocational Training in Business" in companies that are leaders in the sector, exemplary, directing, R&D and training infrastructures. . It is thought that Vocational Education in Business will enable students to get to know the sector, the jobs they will do and the business environments before they graduate, and it will also help them decide on the areas they will specialize in. From another point of view, one-third of the quota of each department is reserved for MTOK (Vocational and Technical Secondary Education Institutions) graduates who want to choose the Faculty of Technology. Thus, significant support is provided to the infrastructure of vocational and technical education.

Selcuk University Faculty of Technology provides services with the departments of Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Metallurgical-Materials Engineering. Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering departments are open with the 1st and 2nd education programs, and they accept students with the NUMERICAL score type of OSYM. The curriculum of the department is structured with 8 semesters, equivalent to the curriculum of the departments in national and internationally accredited (ABET and MÜDEK) engineering faculties and with 240 ECTS credits. In addition to one semester of on-the-job training, the curriculum also includes an internship program of 60 working days distributed over two summer periods. If students meet the conditions, they can continue their education outside SU for 1 or 2 semesters by going to the equivalent and contracted universities abroad with the ERASMUS and MEVLANA programs, and with the FARABI program in the country.
